PYE Implements Enterprise Wide Project Management Information System
Paul Y. Engineering Group (PYE) is one of Hong Kong’s largest contractors with a growing clientele in the region and other parts of the world. PYE provides a single and comprehensive source of construction solutions backed by local knowledge and expertise – encompassing the entire range of civil engineering and building services that enables clients to fulfil their goals.
PYE selected Scenario for their Project Management Information System (PMIS). Scenario delivers a digital platform that can be used corporate wide, across all projects, enabling PYE to maximise their digital platform usage on a consistent basis across projects.
In addition to providing the platform, Scenario also delivered implementation together with customised training and support. This new system will be used on all PYE’s projects throughout Hong Kong and China.
“Scenario is a flexible and customizable system that allows us to absorb our business intelligence, logics and methods to improve our operational efficiency in a digital way,” said Zeca Lee, Senior Manager – CEO Office & Head of PMIS, PYE.
“With the open-end system structure, it brings us the opportunity to analyze projects in the Big Data Era to support our decisions and produce undiscovered insights. Scenario streamlines the processes and parties including our client, architect, consultant, project team and subcontractors,” he said.
Implementation of the Scenario platform will also meet the requirements of Construction 2.0, an initiative of the Hong Kong Government where a digital PMIS is required by companies to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the design and construction industry.
“We appreciate the knowledge and skills of Scenario’s consultant team which includes a mixture of IT and construction expertise giving us advice throughout the transition, which is exciting and challenging at the same time – transforming one of the most traditional industries in Hong Kong,” Lee concludes.
